Very early days yet, but things are definitely heating up. The nodes and spokes are getting to work. We are in the payments space thats supported by the government to fastrack the digitisation of payments and invoices, kicked off in Australia and NZ and rapidly being taken up by governments globally.
80% of the 1.2 billion invoices sent each year in Australia are still using manual pdf methods. Its inefficient, 200% more expensive that digital e-invoices, outdated and soon to be obsolete.
The roll out of e-invoices by the Aus government and the regions taking it up strongly correlated to the institutions named by MasterCard along with SPENDA as global partners.
Interesting times, and the payments space times are a changing.
