I notice that the normal toaster setting burns the living daylights out of raison bread ... thats an indication there's lot of sugar in it.
Mrs Dex always buys our plunger coffee in bulk when on special ... ditto every week there is always a washing powder on special and thats what we get (there is no point directing advertising our way lol)
Interesting thread ... I never apy much attention as I figured it saved a few dollars here and there.
An innovative cook could serve meals 'in season' from ingredients available on special at coles/woolies!
