Who pays for the jackpots anyway?? ALL wouldn't have that exposure would they?

When the pokies are first installed there is usually a minumum pre-set jackpot and over the years the jackpot is funded by the punters. If any exposure is there it would be only in the initial stages after installation and only is ALL participates in the business of running the pokie not selling the pokie. Companies like Tabcorp are responsible for the profits/losses of pokies which are always 99.999999% certain in the long run.

Anyhow, I might check the pokies again tonight... hopefully win a jackpot as well.

One time I played the pokies with 2 women at the Sydney casino. It was called the cash express which involves about 40 pokies linked together and you get 1 of three jackpots that come around regularly. The guy next to me was putting in hundred after hundred and lost at least $1000. Then he stopped and some lady came and put $1 in the pokie, she got the train jackpot... once all the trains stopped she won the maximum jackpot, can't remember the amount but in the $10k-$50k range. The guy who lost $1000 immediately before was very very upset. True story.
