Even more US-Australia submarine collaboration on the horizon (defensenews.com)

Should be plenty of opportunities for AML on the horizon in this space.

In the SPF hearing they mention AL3 parts going on Virginia Subs like the part set to go on a Sub in January so hopefully there will be more work after the contract's completion. The metal characterization contract for the 'critical valve' should be done around the same time too. Seems like subsequent contracts could be quite low in volume but they did mention that the Navy has identified some 300 parts that need to be printed. Probably won't be much volume per part but still looking at 5-20mil in recurring revenue to start with for a conservative estimate.

I still can't see how things are going to scale beyond this just yet, but the Navy has convinced AML to look to setup a facility over there so it must be at least this much potential work. Thoughts?

At least it is looking like we are finally past the long years of certification and nothing but testing and characterization contracts. If we get more characterization contracts, we now know that a larger contract will follow the 8–10-week test.
