What really makes me laugh is that Bernanke is considered best mortal to handle developing crisis cos he did his thesis on the Great Depression. Only problem tho, they didnt have a 700 trillion (current est from the Chicago pits) Damoclean derivatives dagger overhanging ... it was pure and simple deflation then. But now, there aint any precedent or theory to cover CURRENT status of global financial system and I cant see any mega-Olympians about with appropriate skills capable of handling the mega-Bear we now face. We certainly are in the hands of Olympus now, so pray to Zeus to provide us shelter in the perfect storm approaching. Next coupla weeks are likely to be very educational and potentially lethal to them who havent woken up yet.
