I just think funds , in particular o/s funds are no longer viewing the miners in the same light as previously.
The lessened volatility in lme copper (lets just ignore nickel for a second) in the last few weeks is possibly a sign that insto's are no longer loading up on longs.
First sign of FTSE weakness and BHP is the first major hit over there, similar to with the XJO.
Additionally it will take many more weeks, if not months for large O/S holders to exit there postions in BHP if that is in fact what is occuring.
To be honest it doesnt bother me as I dont trade equities , but it is just interesting to gather some opinions.
