Probably Kevin will not be happy because he has done nothing wrong. The problem is that Ms Gillard is Ms 30%. While the primary vote stays down there she is always in a precarious position. Maybe all Kevin will have to do is sit on the backbench and it will fall into his hands.
There is no guarantee it will rise much above 30% and if the primary vote sits there the backbenchers will become frantic.
