Melbourne to Brisbane and vice versa intermodal trains are rolling again, thank goodness.
The ARTC's latest estimate has been for the Melbourne to Adelaide line to reopen on Tuesday 22 November 2022. It may issue another estimate on Saturday 19, but contractors and a maintenance train are on site or in the area, respectively.
If and when the latter occurs, I assume Sydney to Adelaide and Perth/Darwin loading will travel via Albury, Tottenham (Vic) and Ararat, rather than via the flood-affected Broken Hill normal route.
