As someone stated elsewhere here on FFX Hotcopper it really does not matter how many shares the new 'SpinCo' initially are allocated as it all comes down to the value of the company being reflected in the share price and number of shares being allocated.

All depending on a ratio for what each current investor holds in Firefinch as an example it could be 10 shares worth $1 or 1 share worth $10.
