    Time place and circumstance must be different in the Slipper case.

    Remember it's the commonwealth dpp that determined Slipper should be charged, not the ALP or LNP.

    He will get his day in court, if he's done nothing wrong then he will walk out without penalty.

    This whole travel & entitlement gig has been rorted by MP's from ALL SIDES for far too long.

    It's time the whole system was rejigged, and I cannot see why there isn't a full time public servant employed at each MP office to check and vet all claims.

    It would be cheaper to do that and bring this into line, than what it happening now.

    And all expense and travel claims should be posted on the Government Gazette every 3 months, so everyone can see who is spending what.

    I bet it doesn't happen though. It's easier to do nothing and let it blow over, because it suits both major parties to leave things as they are.
