With respect, I think you have missed my point. The 'quality researchers' have based their opinions about deals, timing of deals and price movements on their 'research'. These predictions have included (just from memory):
"six deal by xmas IMO", "three deals are very close IMO", "Philips will announce by end of this quarter IMO", "Philips will announce after the end of Euro summer IMO", "Geoff is o/s so something big is on the table IMO" "POC1 will be announced in next three weeks IMO", etc etc ad nauseum over the last three years
Accordingly, their research as the basis for their IMO's has been wrong or they are just crap googlers - do'h I mean 'researchers'.
