But you did state the obvious? Yes - this is a forum.
Prior to this epiphany I can understand how you struggled with the concept. I myself for many years like you thought hotcopper was a dating website and the thumbs were an indication of something altogether more intimate than a like for my post - but like you I am now confident enough to come to the ultimate in erudite conclusions - "This is a forum". Not that I want to state the obvious or anything.
