You are right Jumpstart, I guess my biggest problem (and I have many), is that I prefer to be an idealist. I hope that in the real world, sometimes this actually does come to fruition, goodness help us if it evaporates altogether. I am aware of my disposition and how it affects what I think of this deal and what I say, but hey, we all have dispositions and sometimes they are tough to move.

I am hoping (read praying), that this deal can be a instance where commercial outcomes can usurp China's political agenda. It can happen, whether it will or not remains to be seen. Surely for all the Chinese investment gone wrong to date (take Sino Iron for example - and at least they kept pumping in the cash), that somehow, sometime, one of these Chinese investors will actually seek, and make a return on their investment and not just secure a swagger of gold. When I speak of return, I am relating this precisely to profit and dividends, of which, we would in turn be winners.
