Its not an enormous scam as you put it, it's simply the fact that its a new developing technology and Australians, particularly the govt, are not particularly foreward thinking when it comes to implementing infrastructure with future needs in mind. Just look at most new housing estates, 200000 bloody houses but not enough doctors, shops, schools and services for them lol.

hell, even new servos and buildings in town being built without charging in the carparks, much unlike many other countries across the world.

as electric vehicles begin to saturate our Aus market more, the infrastructure will catch up.

no "scam" required to explain the current situation.

i understand why you may think they are not viable given the lack of infrastructure, but keep in mind that just because they are not viable to or for you, doesnt mean they are not a good option for other Australians such as myself.
