If you fancy waiting half an hour for a charging station then EVs might be right for you (see video below). But if you’re like most people, a shorter stop for some petrol might be a better option.
I also wonder what may happen to the Aussie electricity grid at the height of summer if a few million cars all suddenly plug in for a charge. Our grid is already at its limits despite almost no one owning an EV. On top of this, the cost of electricity means in some parts of the world that charging your Tesla / EV costs more than a tank of petrol.
