One thing also to keep in mind is that the 20kt shipment that was due to be shipped in the March quarter but subsequently was shipped early April will pretty significantly dampen the average price received for the quarter. Ie if this shipment (say 20% of total shipments for the month) only received a price in say the low $3000s, whilst others are far higher than this liter in the quarter, then it is reasonable to expect the averages are going to be dragged down a bit by this.
There’s a lot of white noise on the forums at the moment, can’t believe people are complaining about receiving ONLY $4300-4700/t for our spod when in the not too distant past I remember everyone was ecstatic we were receiving about $500/t…
My best take out of the quarterly is that they have hired approx 90 staff in a quarter! Almost unheard of in any company to be honest…I have no doubt the numbers for the June quarter will appease even the harshest of critics, let’s wait and see.
