On GFEX lithium carbonate LC2401(I'm assuming this is January 2024) is trading around CNY 153 000.
LC2406(June) is around CNY 130 000.
The current spot sprice looks to be somewhere around CNY 170 000.
The futures will have to move up quite a bit to catch up to the spot price or the other way round.
Futures prices higher than the spot price is what would be ideal. This will indicate the expectation of higher prices in the future.
Spodumene 6% CIF China is down again on SMM by USD 35 to USD 2 220. Probably need lithium carbonate to turn up for a while before spodumene will follow.
