The spot price gets disproportionate attention and the Chinese futures market appears too ripe not to be manipulated to give Chinese buyers the opportunity to lock in low prices. The supposed supply that is mooted to come on tap will be delayed given high interest rates and given things always take longer to bring to production that intended.On the plus side PLS is a low cost profitable producer, can lower average costs as it ramps up production (much like what FMG did) and may benefit also from downstream activities.Lets see which way the cookie crumbles as markets are forward looking and US lithium companies did well on Friday night.
