At $800/t:
Core Lithium is unprofitable and probably in C&M. Supply gone from market.
PLL/SYA is unprofitable and probably in C&M. Supply gone from market.
AKE and LTR barely making money
PLS is still making ok margins
IGO making good margins
The companies still supplying the market at $800/t would probably be reducing supply and they would probably be delaying any expansion plans. It would quickly lead to a supply squeeze repeat.
I am still amazed by how wrong the lithium "experts" were on this. Joe Lowry and co never saw lepidolite as a problem and now Chinese producers can apparently remain viable at much lower prices. Some analysts said the floor was $3,000 a ton for lepidolite producers. Not even close.
Not a problem for long holders imo. I was hoping to buy my first house this year so it has well and truly destroyed that hope for me.
