Hi guys, I just made a quick exercise to put in context the different price of ores , but calculating the cost of the LiOH assuming similar ore processing costs to spodumene ( 5,000$/ton of LiHO processing cost, and 7.5 tons of SC6 to get 1 ton of LiHO ).

Then I sorted it from lower to highest LiHO cost.

We can see low grades spodumenes are the most expensive ones , just followed by Lepidolite all at or above 20,000 USD/ton ; the cheapest is SC6 from Australia , with Montebrasite ( I never heard of this mineral before) being also on the top around the 13,000 USD/ton

I understand that LiO2 recoveries are lower the lower the grade of ore feed which would increase further the gap between the cheapest and the most expensive. If someone knows this info it would be great if it can be shared with us.

Which ores are currently in use? All of them? Then SC6-SC5 has a lot to do to catch up in price + 80-100%....

Any constructive feedback to help to improve the above calcs is more than welcome !

    Have a good day.
