In my experience, people who obsessively dislike Trump (I'm neither here nor there) don't appear to be able to divorce his outlandish media performances with the economic outcomes his policies delivered. Given COL issues, that's something many Americans appear to be realising. Given establishment identities on both sides have vested interests in keeping him out of office, whether his enormous MAGA popularity translates to the ballot box and is able to overcome what will clearly be another case of election interference is another discussion.
What does it mean for PLS? Unfortunately, the world is hitched to US economic performance. Until other nations can deliver what the US can, a stronger US economy, given our close economic ties, is better for Australia and PLS.
