it took them the best part of a year to build those shorts up to circa 21%. When the tide turns, they will have a maximum of two weeks to close all those positions. I doubt that will even be remotely possible for most. Chaos will ensue as they try to exit through an ever-narrowing door, begging to get out while their church is on fire and water to extinguish their losses a rare commodity. There is the potential to create one of the largest short squeezes in ASX history, and it's no secret as to the effect that will have on the SP.
