I think the key here is that pricing is not going back to the previous high level, you might get $25-35 for short periods, but I think that is it. The focus is on costs, they need to get all in costs to something like $500 USD. I think this is the plan with the P2000, its like the iron ore miners, they need to be super low cost. That is how market cap north of $10B is justified.
Its clear China isn't going let what happened to Iron Ore happen to Lithium, so there will definitely be ample supple, it will be the lowest cost producers that will win and the rest will disappear just like in iron ore.
