How does a dividend payment flush away shorters?
As I understand it, dividends are paid to the registered owner whether it has been loaned out or not. Surely any messy work functions would not be passed on to the company and, in any case, if the dividends did go to the borrower, they would have the cash to pay the dividend.
Having said that, I too, expect a dividend to be announced at the annual report.
