Banning shorting is the prudent thing to do especially when near times of recession. It can break a company and cause grief to the country. Union power should also be controlled. Like how VW is forced to close factories...in Germany. Germans on average work 28 hours a week vs 34 for the EU. Think some official told Germans if they want to prosper they will need to work longer and harder.
