If you are broker sponsored then you can get them from the REGISTRY or your CHESS Sponsor, if not CHESS Sponsored then only the registry

Speaking from experience the broker simply notifies the registry so it is more effecient to call the registry yourself, there normally is a charge. If you want a report then your broker can give you that straight away but as far as i am aware it is not proof of ownership.
