the sceptics, conspiracy theorists and pessimists ( usually all non stock holders) love to get holders jumping at shadows.
The notice of the agm and it's contents clearly explained all the resolutions which were voted on by the shareholders and all resolutions were adopted. One included the directors wanting to participate in the placement to the tune of 5.5m shares ( item 8) which the sceptics would have us believe otherwise. Directors buying shares is a great confidence boost for any company particulalry a small cap explorer like Gondwana.
The sceptics also don't mention the incentive performance based issues which were supported by the shareholders. This incentive based issue is good in that it aligns the interests of the directors with that of the shareholders.
If we want a geologist of the high calibre of David Burton on board with Gondwana, there has to be incentive which is smart thinking on the part of the company. The sceptics probably think he should work on a volunteer basis. I don't. I think the company should go further and have higher share price related incentives based on the issue of options at higher share prices at given points in time which are linked to performance of key milestones, eg, inferred resource dates, commencement of mining ops, earnings per share, market cap' and earnings after tax, depreciation and expenses, etc.
The notice of agm business and explanatory notes was about 15 pages and before the sceptics win the day, the agm notes etc should be read in full which will help awareness etc.
It won't stop the sceptics but there might be a lot less responses to the conspiracy theorists.
