Institutions specialising in resource stocks will have losses on most of their holdings, and do not have cash to step up and buy more shares. There is nothing they can do either. I'm sure Paul Kitto means that institutions support management by telling them that they agree with the strategy and implementation. That's only verbal, but it's all the support they will get now. It's a tough environment but at least AMX has plenty of cash to continue. Whether the environment is better or worse in 18 months time, who knows?
