Nice post Ronmac. I too called the co yesterday (I guess a few did) after I got back from the hospital. Spoke with the co secretary in Melbourne. Very informative guy. These guys are very prudent, which is good to see. Not interested in burning cash unnecessarily. That's why the hold on fracing at the lower level after fully analysing the initial results.
Apparently, there is another operator nearby, drilling in very similar circumstances with similar timing- and they are checking out their results to add to their information bank. Will therefore not perforate the upper level till early in the new year. As you say, there are plenty of drilling crews and rigs available in the area.
They did expect good flow from Brian 1 (and may yet achieve a result) so yesterday was a disappointment but will go on to Brian 2 with a lot more info,as you said.
This is a specy after all and for the faint of heart there is always BHP or Rio or NAB etc, etc.
