The mild sneezing is probably attributed to some of the spray contacting the middle portion of the nose (septum) which is quite sensitive and irritable.
The best way to avoid that is to administer correctly which many do not. This means leaning forward, placing the nozzle just inside the nose and aiming towards the outer wall of the nose and the ear (away from the middle or the top of the nose). Use the right hand for the left nostril and left hand for the right nostril. Don’t tilt your head backwards and DO NOT take a big sniff. Otherwise all nasal sprays go down the back of the throat, making them less effective and increasing the chances and severity of side effects. In the case of this drug, that could mean sneezing and/or nasal irritation.
