I am asking in this company thread as it may yield some more in-depth analysis of the situation.
So AMX announced yesterday that they are purchasing Spookfish from Eagleview Australia Pty Ltd for a measly sum of $1.5M. Seeing that Eagleview forked out $120M for Spookfish only a couple of years ago.... how is a sale price of $1.5M even possible?
I can't quite work this transaction out, it looks like a disaster from Eagleviews point of view. Were they unable to have any success with the technology, was it too much for them? To me it reads that Nearmap is killing them in the US and this is almost a clear signal that they are on a back foot when it comes to competing with Nearmap.
