    Elsewhere in the exploration stratosphere, Apollo Consolidated (ASX code: AOP) jumped a spooky 11¢ to 20¢ after it released some highly encouraging gold results from its West Australian tenements. Apollo, which has been pitching its West African pedigree, might have to start selling its closer-to-home offerings following the 7.75 grams of gold a tonne assay over a 42-metre interval at its Rebecca prospect, about 150 kilometres east of Kalgoorlie.

    Why, you ask Insider, is any of that spooky, given it is a fairly straightforward result? Well, it came on the day everyone was talking about the death of astronaut Neil Armstrong, whose moon landing was on the mission Apollo 11.
