I do not understand all the chatter about short term trading keeping the price down. Surely if they had an influence when they sold - there must have been an equal influence when they bought. Net result on sp - zero.
Every market has all types of traders - currencies, futures, stocks - day traders make up the bulk of activity in the first two. Do they affect the price at the end of the day? What they do is provide liquidity which is good for all traders.
How is cvi diff from other such stocks lately? Looks not too diff to me - most have at least halved in last few weeks, if not the last 2 weeks. I like to compare the sp to the August low. CVI is looking ok for mine - better than most.
Is there anything wrong with cvi right here? Is nothing some of Macca's advice would not fix.
Good luck all
