    But lately the media have NOT been talking about a landslide win for the coalition. Your assumption about coalition complacency is just that - an assumption.

    As for a surplus, I will believe that when I see it. Already Swan has shoved money back and forwards. Last year's deficit climbed from an estimated $22 billion to $44 billion. And lots of promised expenditure will not (if ever) be made for many years. And where is the income from the mining tax?
