Cray Cray man......and not the Coffin Bay caught and EP type we want from Southern Ocean.....like that industry has previously been played by China. Over time, if EV transition is important to carbon neutral targets (and it is as the like of Astrazeneca plant trees on farmland as offset carbon releases) perhaps we will find a happier range without the wild swings. Just got to ride it out and along as have with with IO and BO.
Supply ain't the issue. Reliable supply in the quantities and qualities sought is. And how it's sourced does and will matter. As will having a workforce that believes in mining. Generational issues here with both.
When the mouse wheel turns the other way no worries. No one prepared to predict anything beyond short term as no one knows but the big boys work in concert. Be happier to see this move toward a different trend or even sideways and shorts start to move off and on too.
I remember the days in the IO ehen our biggest and most important trading partner was rumoured to buy and stockpile IO on the ocean bed. Don't know if truth and don't follow day to day prices of that just know, if it's needed and can be supplied reliably through the swings as building and economies grow and as they contract, be risk averse. China economy growing is good news and a stalling one isn't.
Be keen to hear what are plans for graphite also and rare earths to be tested within the assays. Also post Chinese NY what that may bring in the short term. But really, everything pushed right back for SYA. Plenty of headwinds at the moment.
