I was wondering the same. My guess is that it will be sooner and here is why. Albemarle has never sold spodumene, they integrate it into an LCE facility. In this case the facility that it is integrated into is not up to speed but the spodumene mine is producing at a rate faster than they can use. With Sayona they can store about 45,000 tones at port and between the train yard and at NAL they can store maybe 5000 or 6000 more tones. I am guessing ALB has run out of storage room and is faced with selling some off or cutting back production. So my guess would be more immediate sales, but I have not seen anything official.
If it is more immediate, then this would be really good news for the spod market.
