I think that you will find that religious people like to use words (in the bible, that is) to scarce people into submission.
"Because that would be equivalent to pulling the cart before the horse."
Now that's quite a profound statement given the religious people who can't tell a cart from a horse never mind which way the unfortunate animal is supposed to pull.
