Amigos, when the market is flat and the shareprice drifs as it is doing at the moment, I reassess all of my stocks to see if it is time to sell, buy or re-balance them. Well, having done this on a regular basis lately, I have concluded that ARR is a strong hold (and a buy if I had more in the piggy bank). Why? I can summarise with two screenshots from recent announcements by ARR. Also previously I posted a comparison between the big rare earth producers (Lynas, etc) and new comers (eg MEI, etc), which showed that Halleck Creek has more rare earth metals than any of those producers and the rising stars. Screenshot #1 below shows the quantitiy of rare earths and magnetic rare earths at Halleck Creek - these are truly remarkable numbers. Screenshot #2 shows that the use of magnetics in the early stage of processing rejects 71.1% of the feed - the non-magnetic part effectively goes back to the pit. It means that for every 1,000 kg of rock that is mined, magnetics will be used to recover 28.9% of the ore for the next stage. This simple upgrade means that after the magnetic step, the grade of rare earths goes from 0.33% (ie 3,309 ppm) to 1.2% (ie, 12,000 ppm). Importantly, magnetic separation is possible for ore at Halleck Creek (and La Paz) because its rare earths are within the mineral allanite, which is a slightly magnetic mineral. So our ore responds very well to the use of magnetics (WHIMS - Wet High Magnetic Separation) to produce a concentrate. At the moment, research is being carried out on the ore from Halleck Creek to develop the next stages in an efficient flow sheet for producing saleable products. This information is due shortly and it will be used in the economic studies later this year.
