Brazil ranks 94th / 180 nations ranked on the CPI (Corruption Perceptions Index) along with Argentina and Ethiopia, while Greece is 51st and Italy 41st.
No bueno on Brazil and you stated the corruption yourself in your post Bat.... Australia ranks 13th and NZ 2nd. Australia aught to be second with NZ yet those small towns with small minded people or however the saying goes, leads with a lot of nepotism and corruption re local councils and police forces. (trust me I know all too well having moved out onto a farm property of mine fleeing the GC during the early days of the pandemic) wouldn't have believed it until I experienced the corruption and nepotism in an unfavourable light.
