When you read all this stuff, it reinforces my belief that FAR will prevail with respect to the PE issue and that it will get the opportunity to PE WPL’s 35%.
FAR didn’t initiate proceedings without the express blessing of the Government. The Government will know what the plan is and FAR is the vehicle to execute that plan, I believe.
Big oil is always close to their Governments.
When you see it in the context of these state visits, it isn’t hard to believe that it all becomes a quasi state to state thing.
Makes the CNOOC FAR AMI really interesting.
How little old Australian FAR seems to have got itself into this unique position is beyond me.
Guess they found the oil and having stuck it out. Have gained the trust and confidence of the Government.
As said in this cesspit who could you half trust.
Perhaps it is as simple as FAR being the vehicle for the Government to get what it wants.
The Chinese will be there bearing gifts.
    And in return?
Before they found oil and seemingly lots of it nobody gave a sh#t!
    Now!
    Interesting times!
