spouse and voluntary contributions

Have a question. I am contributing to my wife's super (she is not working) and with a $3000 contribution I can get $600 approx tax refund. She will also eligible for the co-contribution for putting in $1000.

Do these contributions both have to be separate contributions?
The super fund does have two different BPay accounts fro each contribution
They are after tax contributions.
