I got my letter of offer last night and had a quick read before leaving for work.

You can only apply for the amounts that they have specified
(Off the top of my head)
$1k
$2k
$5k
$7k
$10k
$15k

If you apply for an intermediate amount they round it back down to one of the above amounts and refund you the difference.

How the scale back is applied is open to interpretation (and I didn't get much time to thrash through it this morning).

It seems to me like they will set a cut off level and anyone who applies for less than this level will get their full application. Anyone who applies above this level will get scaled back.

So, there is no point applying for for more than $15k. You won't get it. If you have more than 10k, but not enough to make 15k, then only apply for the 10k. They will just refund you the difference.

And Billja, it's not first come first served. So, keep your cash until the last minute. You may as well earn some interest off it!
