When SPP were few and far between SPP were reasonable well received but now that they are being widly used they are now not too well received and are to some extent a dampner on the share price,CDU etc, one can ofter buy the shares of the particular company on market after the ex date cheaper.
The SPP really only works for a insto or big player wanting a decent parcel and not wanting to chase the price but for day traders/small investors it is losing its shine, imho.
