Well meerkat has his own view of the world, we all generate our own picture from our own reference points, his obviously, or should I say assumedly, are tainted by past negative experiences. And that perhaps made him more cautious, or perhaps cynical, in his assessments. A healthy dose of scepticism is warranted in whatever you approach, and when it’s your hard-earned cash, well…. As you say the underlying tenor is just banter in good spirits, keep it up all concerned.

As for the recent announcement, plenty of innuendo and hints of great things to come. Well this is fine with me, I’ll stay on course…….though many have opted to vote with their feet today, but we’ve been there before. With test results due within a week or two - or three, patience should pay out. These gas shows on the other side of the trapping fault must be viewed as positive I guess, though one would prefer they were less ambiguous in their announcements - albeit they have to protect their patch, this is a ‘game’ of who gets to the pot of hmmmm gas first.

This is a vertical fault and as there is apparently gas on the other side, the side 1-1 is on, so it looks like gas is present in the direction of the first well drilled, being some two kilometres away. Though there could be other traps in between with barren zones. Albeit, gas was obviously not encountered in the same quantity in this well as in the previously drilled wells. In that the company is honest in their announcements to the market. But this does not diminish the prospectivity of the already drilled targets. Testing will tell shortly.
And remember, there is always the Monterey oil play that’s waiting to be drilled to in other target zones beside the first 1-1 well. Oil is supposedly there, but this play will have to wait as the recovery of the gas is paramount at this point in time.

So keep ‘faith’, all good things take time to mature.
