Today, we completed a 6-month review of the SPP300 for market capitalisation and liquidity. The reason we do this is to mitigate the risk of market impact on sell-down of SPPs.

There are 27 additions and 25 exclusions (i.e. 52 trades – see below for the full list). Two companies dropped out of the SPP300 due to mergers/takeovers. We do not anticipate there to be as many movements going forward, and the large number of changes is likely to be reflective of dislocations caused by COVID-19.

Because this is the first adjustment to the SPP300 portfolio, we will wear the usual brokerage costs. A nominal fee only will appear on your account (less than $5 total across all trades).

The total net capital outlay (i.e. purchase prices of the shares bought less sale proceeds of shares sold will be approximately $35 (based on today’s prices). This will be paid from your broking cash account.

Please confirm (before COB Thursday) if you want us to rebalance your SPP300. Reponses received after that time will not be included in the rebalancing – which we anticipate undertaking this upcoming Friday.
