Thanks for the advice guys. I bought my first shares back in November so feel like I have the hang of it now. It was the Lynas REE story that got me to stop procrastinating and actually start with shares. Between LYC and gold/silver miners I've managed to do really well so far, have taken some good profits and am on my way to contibuting to the 'buy-a-house-one-day' fund.

Jukieoz- I'm in QLD but feel like I've got the basic knowledge. I'm not day trading so not trying to work out how to do the technical stuff.
