An old trick by drilling a hole at a location where mineralisation is already known and announcing it as a new discovery is known as a "directors hole". Usually a tactic used to boost the SP for any number of reasons. I fell right in one once... cost me plenty! couldn't figure out why there was no significant follow-up until I read about the practice {investing in australian mining stocks by Trench&Judge.}
