You're right of course, however you missed the point of the exercise, which was the value or otherwise of the OPTIONS. Your proposed loss is on the shares...NOT the options. The thread is even titled "SPP Options" not "Will XPE Shares Succeed ?" The idea was to show the mathematical effect of options on the final profits under various future XPE prices.

In the first scenario the options had no effect. I could've shown they also had no effect at your price of $0.02 but I think the readers understand that. You do don't you ?

There's no attempt at upramping here at all.... just a simple mathematical simulation so people could judge the worth of "out of the money" options if all went well. Whether XPE shares would be good or bad in the long run wasn't even discussed.

I also said.....

That explanation was pretty clear. It's for people who consider XPE is a good investment (as clearly explained in the final 3 questions posed). If they didn't, there was no purpose reading on... ie people expecting a lower XPE price like yourself wouldn't bother with the SPP so have no need to read on to understand the "Option options".

Clear as mud huh ?
