There are many inequities in the market which always count against the individual small shareholder. It was ever thus. So don't get too upset. It's a game of legalities - has nothing remotely to do with 'fairness'.

I always fall on my face laughing when people refer to 'loyal' shareholders - who are we kidding - at the first chance of a windfall we run off with the loot, so you can't blame companies for arranging things in their favor either.

Nope. The chief unfairness lies in the way that some groups can see what's really going on in the market because their seats screens tell them that, they know who's buying and who's selling - imagine if we had that sort of information? it's a very one-sided arrangement and I queried the Trade Practices Commission about it numerous times - I reckon it's not in the supposed competitive spirit of the market the way the whole show is rigged.

that's why you gotta be content with 'small' gains and realise it's not really your show at all, you're here on their sufferance.
