from 2008 A/R as at 31 May 2008 there were 1798 sh. total number of shares were 631m, and is about the same number now. very few options were exercised.

Re SPP did you read:

"Mosaic Directors to participate at same terms as shareholders....
The Directors participation is subject to shareholder approval which will be
considered at the company’s Annual General Meeting on 24 November 2009."

I am uncertain what that means:
- why do sh have to approve the participation of directors?
is it because they do not have any shares so they would not have been able to participate in the SPP?
- or are they going to ask us to issue shares, or let them participate in the Placement?

I am a bit suspicious. why are they suddenly keen to buy shares now? when they can be issued them at 11.5c when market is 13 - 13.5c?

a bit cynical of them i think.
